Carlyn Janus is a native-born Chicago artist with a BFA in mixed media & design from the Art Institute of Chicago. Carlyn specializes in abstracted landscapes and minimal graphic forms which are also nature based in concept. Her paintings are fueled by a deep respect and personal connection to the natural world. This is her fundamental artistic influence. Carlyn lets the layers evolve organically, creating texture and composition without any end vision in mind.
